Group 1: Compliance with standard IEC 62056-31

The aim of this committee is to provide all of the players concerned by the design, manufacture, supply, purchase and operation of equipment requiring compliance with the standard IEC 62056-31 with test specifications. It corresponds to the minimum recommended by the members of the EURIDIS Association in order to ensure smooth communication and interoperability with the other equipment conform to this standard.

The certificate produced constitutes a commitment on the part of the manufacturer ensuring that the equipment meets all standard requirements.

Group 2: Evolution of the Euridis 2 standard

The protocol was drawn up in the 1990s. A first review of the standard was carried out in 2000.
The development of the equipment leads to exchanging an increasingly large amount of data. An upgrade of the transmission rate from 1,200 bps to 9,600 bps, along with an increase in the data package size the system is capable of transmitting, therefore appears to be indispensable. All of the developments will ensure an ascending compatibility.

Group 3: Equipment ID management

The cohabitation of equipment items on the Euridis bus is due to the fact that they have a sole address. This is why the Euridis Association centralises the communication IDs allocated to the equipment.
The fact is that some manufacturers use numbers without referring them to the Association. This committee is entrusted with the mission of defining more stringent rules of allocation than at the present time.
